Styled Shoot for Bliss Bridal Magazine | Austin Wedding Planning

I'm so excited to announce Something to Celebrate's styled shoot featured in Bliss Bridal Magazine's winter issue. It's out on stands now, and online, but I thought I'd show you some shots that you won't see anywhere else! I had so much fun putting together the English-inspired shoot with Last Petal, Sugarpaper Press, Marquee, Simon LeeLoot and Sweet Sunday. Thanks to everyone who contributed!

My inspiration was my fascination with all things English, from Downton Abbey to Wills and Kate. I also infused some 1920s glamour and an antique feel. Because it was for the winter issue, I chose a rich jewel-tone palette of deep purple, fuchsia, reds and oranges, gray, and black and white, with accents of gold and brass. I designed a head table, an escort card table and a dessert table, all in the lovely setting of Antebellum Oaks. I think it turned out beautifully, and I hope you enjoy the photos (by Azulox Photography) as much as I enjoyed putting this all together!

Best news is, the magazine is free! Here is where you can pick up a copy (or two!):  http://blissmagatx.com/distribution/

Keep your eyes open for a behind-the-scenes video on Bliss' website soon, by Crooked Tie Studios.

Enjoy!

Weddings to Celebrate:: Karen and Curtis, Emmaus and Barton Creek Country Club

Karen and Curtis hired me as their day-of coordinator, and I was thrilled to make sure their day was as beautiful and seamless as they envisioned it to be. The decor was gorgeous, very elegant and sophisticated (just like the couple!). They said their vows at the exquisite Emmaus Church in Lakeway, then partied the night away--this was a bunch that liked to celebrate--at Barton Creek Country Club. Karen chose a chic palette of crisp champagne, creamy white and sage green. Karen and Curtis, I wish you many years of happiness together! Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day.

This was a hilarious game where the bridesmaids blindfolded Curtis
and made him choose which lady was his new bride by, well, feel.

Notice they added a surprise at the end of the row!
